Divi Responsive Helper is the responsive-design toolkit Divi developers wished came with the builder. 50+ features that extend Divi's stock breakpoint system with fluid type, widow control, per-breakpoint editing safeguards, responsive custom CSS, and sane defaults across sections, rows, columns, and modules.
Designers see a familiar Divi UI with sharper controls. No new tool to learn. No second plugin to configure. Every override is toggleable per site so the plugin scales from "fix one annoying breakpoint quirk" to "rebuild our whole responsive workflow."
THE CHALLENGE
Stock Divi breakpoints get you 60% of the way there.
PAC's customers were burning hours per project on the same handful of responsive workflows: overriding per-device spacing, fixing accidental edits made in the wrong breakpoint, manually scaling type to look right across screens, and writing one-off CSS for breakpoint quirks Divi did not handle.
PAC wanted those workflows abstracted into a real, supported product. A single plugin that absorbed the responsive-design hacks Divi designers had been carrying around for years and turned them into a single, paid plugin their customer base could install once.
And it had to ship across both Divi 4 and Divi 5. Divi 5 introduces seven breakpoints (Ultra Wide through Phone) and a redesigned responsive editor. Most third-party Divi plugins ship for Divi 4 only. PAC needed Divi Responsive Helper supporting both lines, with feature parity, before competitors closed the gap.
THE APPROACH
Extend Divi's responsive system. Do not replace it.
We hooked into Divi's existing breakpoint and module API rather than reimplementing it. The plugin layers on top of what Divi already does, adds breakpoint-aware defaults across sections, rows, columns, and modules, and keeps every override toggleable per site. Designers see Divi, with sharper controls.
Per-breakpoint safeguards, by default. Editing fields per breakpoint can be hidden entirely or made read-only. Switching breakpoints can be made dropdown-only or require a confirm-click so accidental edits in the wrong device size stop happening. Visual indicators show exactly when content differs across breakpoints, so designers know what they are overriding before they touch it.
Fluid type and widow control as first-class features. Type scales fluidly across all screen sizes without media queries. Widow words get prevented in headings and paragraphs automatically. Custom CSS can be scoped to any breakpoint with one toggle.
